I joined Lumsden & Carroll Construction in 2003 as a trainee Quantity Surveyor as part of an already successful Commercial Department. As part of my development within the company I also began studying for an HND in Construction Management at Northumbria University.
Since completing my HND almost 3 years ago and with the skills I have learned throughout my development I have matured greatly and have gained confidence in my role as a Quantity Surveyor, receiving recognition for my hard work in the form of winning the ‘CECA Trainee of the year’ award for my time as a trainee Quantity Surveyor, which was a great honour for me personally.
My current role involves managing a number of different projects within the housing sector that always test my skills I have developed during my time at Lumsden & Carroll, as I have become more experienced I have been giving the added responsibility of training an assistant Quantity Surveyor, and I am thoroughly enjoying the challenge and rewards that this brings
