I first joined the Esh Group in September 2004 working for Lumsden & Carroll in their accounts department as a trainee accounts clerk. I came to the esh group through the fit for employment scheme; the scheme consisted of three weeks of training and doing various activities to improve our skills such as communicating and team building. At the end of the three weeks 20 hopefuls were given jobs within Esh House and I was one of the lucky ones!
In January 2008 I was promoted to Assistant Accounts Manager working alongside the Accounts Manager Louise Lamb helping her produce the accounts for Esh Holdings. I couldn’t of been given a better opportunity and I knew that my hard work had paid off. Over the past year, our team (which originally consisted of me and Louise) has grown and my title is now Finance Manager and i am producing management accounts for Esh Developments and it’s subsidiaries.
This is one of the many reasons why the Esh Group is is a great place to work as hard work is always recognised and rewarded. Another is the people in which I work with are all really nice and make you feel part of a group. I am now looking to start my AAT in September
